User wants to know the total numbers of records in a specific record.

Solution:

'Count' function is a fundamental operation in SQL (Structured Query Language) used to tally the number of records meeting specified criteria within a database table.

Sample Query:

select count(id) from task;

Select: Specifies the operation of choosing data from the database.
Count(id): Utilizes the 'Count' function to calculate the number of non-null values within the id column of the 'task' table.
From task: Indicates that the data is sourced from the 'task' table.
