NSC|How to create an Account Dataset to check for available accounts for a particular subsidiary?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:44PM in Accounting / ERP 2 comments

Scenario

User wants to create an account dataset in NetSuite for a specific subsidiary within their multinational company to review the available accounts for a particular subsidiary. This dataset will help in accurately tracking their accounts. This dataset will provide a detailed overview of the subsidiary's financial accounts, including assets, liabilities, equity, income, and expenses.

Solution

1.) Click on Analytics

2.) Go to Datasets > New Dataset

3.) Select Account

4.) In Record list section, select Subsidiaries > Name drag it to Criteria

5.) Select a Subsidiary

6.) Using the same steps, you can also drag it in the Data Grid

7.) Rename and Save Dataset

This will display the accounts shared and exclusive for that subsidiary
