Cannot see saved search in global search or reminders

Hi

A custom record 's saved search does not show in the global search bar and does not allow being added to reminders. The search is public and marked as available for reminders

The owner of the saved search cannot add this to his dashboard and neither can other users. There are 'no permissions' needed for the custom record type:
