Can I turn a customized standard report into a saved search to use it in Reminder portlet?

Hi Gurus!

I believe the Reminders portlet works with saved searches only; however, it's sometimes easier to use a standard report and customize it, especially if it is a complex report.

Question: is there some way to turn a report into a saved search formally in NS so that I can look it up in Reminders and use it?
