Voiding a Check from a Closed Period

Question

Is it possible to void a check from a closed period without having to reopen the period in NetSuite? I see the Void Transactions using Journal Entries preference, but do you still have to reopen the period to void the check if it's from a closed period?

Hello there. You can opt to do the following:

Based on SuiteAnswer Article 25683 - Void a Closed Period Bill Payment, you have two options on voiding the Bill Payment. One is to reopen the period and then void the Bill Payment, and the other one is to turn on the Void Transactions Using Reversing Journals preference so that you can void the Bill Payment without having to reopen the closed period.
