ABSI-SFTP (Auto Bank Statement Import). Time options for Fetching files, SFTP folder internal/extern

In case of timing difference between the loading of files in the SFTP folder and the time NetSuite fetches the files on the folder to automatically import to NS.... Is there a way to modify the time NS fetches the files to a better time when we know the files will be there?
Is it possible to internally manage the SFTP folder in NS (e.g. File Cabinet, etc) instead of externally? If so, is it recommendable and what is the best option?
