How to automatically reassign tasks when sales rep field is changed on quotes/sales orders?

Essentially, whenever a sales rep transfers a quote to a different rep, I want to look to see if there is an associated quote task. If yes, then ensure that the task assignee transfers as well.

I've tried to create a workflow for this, but I suppose a script may make this more doable.

Please advise!
