Custom Field to Display a List of Fields Available on a Standard Record

I have a request/business need for a very similar request as the one noted above - Need a custom field that will display a list of all available fields on a standard record, in my case the Employee record.

Do we know if there has been any progress on the Enhancement requests noted in the original post included here?
