Why am I able to choose the same GL account for intercompany revenue though not expense?

Hi

I have a service item for resale.

On the accounting tab, I have the following:

I am not able to choose the same expense account for regular expense and intercompany expense.

Why am I able to choose the same revenue account for regular revenue and intercompany revenue though not do the same on the expense side?
