New to NetSuite | Setting Location Restrictions in NetSuite with Custom Roles

Managing location restrictions in NetSuite can be challenging, especially when using custom roles across multiple locations. Let’s dive into the limitations and considerations you should be aware of when setting up these restrictions.

Limitations of Location Restrictions:

NetSuite allows you to set location restrictions in custom roles through the Segment: Location restriction. However, this functionality works under the following condition:

Single Location Restriction:

The restriction will only work if there is one location specified in the Location field on both your Customer and Employee Records.

Challenges with Multiple Locations:

Multiple Location Restriction Not Supported:

If you need to set restrictions for multiple locations, this feature is not yet supported in NetSuite. Currently, you cannot assign multiple locations within a single restriction.
