Display Item Components on Transactions Possible Fix?

Hello there, we've had numerous issues with item groups not displaying individual items with pricing when issuing printed invoices and quotes. In the past we were told that the 'Display Item Components on Transactions' tick box would not resolve this, and after testing a few months back we had confirmation of this. Today i created an Opp in Sandbox using to pre-existing item groups, as part of a test for another issue, and realised that one of the item groups (Boardroom Meeting Standards) displayed as one line item with an accumulated price, whilst the other one (Quiet Room Standard) displayed
