Customers receiving invoices in the body of the email instead of PDF

We upgraded last week and now our customers are receiving invoices in the body of the email instead of a PDF attachment. I have not changed anything in our system. Does anyone know how to correct this so they receive a PDF? Thanks for the assistance.
