Recurring option in GL Audit numbering Permanent numbering type

Hi - Please can someone provide me some insights / logic behind only having Daily/Hourly recurring type options available in the "permanent numbering type" in the "

GL Audit Numbering Sequence"?

How exactly Daily or Hourly options helpful ? and why do not we have other options like monthly, quarterly etc...?
