Help with moving data points from an Inventory Item to all Assembly Items that use that Inventory it

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:53PM in Ask A Guru 8 comments

I am new to creating work flows and this one seems a little complicated and I could use some help from the hivemind. I am looking to have a workflow pull in the product dimensions (H, W, L) from the Inventory Item record into the Assembly Item Records from all the assemblies that the inventory item is used in.

We manufacture nutritional supplements and bottle them. We are trying to get the dimensions for all of the finished products that use the same specific bottle size and color to have the dimensions pulled from the inventory item record for that bottle. We have 40 different types of bottles in size/color configurations and about 14k assemblies, so we would like to have the system do as much of this as possible.
