How to a dynamic cost centre saved search for a dashboard

Hello
I have a cost centre report. The report shows all the costs in finance. I want to put this on a dashboard and make it dynamic so that you only see the costs that are in your cost centre. Cost centre (department) is held on the employee record. I can see a field in the saved search called "Mine" but it doesnt seem to work.
How would you do this?
I would then apply this saved search to the employee center role - how would you do this?
