Removal of OAuth 1.0 Token-Based Authentication Support in SuiteCloud SDK

edited Jan 13, 2025 1:49PM in Announcements

This notice applies to customers who use SuiteCloud SDK tools. SuiteCloud SDK version 24.2, released in August 2024, uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol for authorization. This version includes the following updates:

  • A machine-to-machine authentication option is now available for SuiteCloud IDE plug-ins and extensions.
  • New commands that support account setup and authentication for automated environments are available in the SuiteCloud CLIs.

The new authentication options and CLI commands introduced in version 24.2 replace the Token-Based Authentication (TBA) option, which uses OAuth 1.0. SuiteCloud SDK version 24.1 is the last version that supports TBA and OAuth 1.0. SuiteCloud SDK version 25.1 is targeted to be released in February 2025. After version 25.1 is released, version 24.1 will no longer be available for download. Only SuiteCloud SDK versions 24.2 and 25.1 will be available for download and installation. Both of these versions support only OAuth 2.0.
