New to NetSuite | Client Script: validateLine(scriptContext)
After discussing all the types of SuiteScript in the New to NetSuite | SuiteScript Types Overview article, we are now focusing on the different types of Client Script. The validateLine is used when a user attempts to add or update a line in a sublist, just before it is committed to the record. It serves as a gatekeeper, ensuring the data in the sublist meets predefined conditions or business rules. This validation ensures the integrity and accuracy of the data entered in the sublist before saving.
Expected Return Value:
- true: The sublist line is valid, and the addition or update is successful.
