Is there a way to hide the entityid field on contact record entry forms
The {entityid} field is a mandatory field on contract record entry forms and is populated automatically by NS using the {firstname}, {middlename}, and {lastname} fields. We don't want our sales reps to fill in the {entityid} field and only use the {firstname}, {middlename}, and {lastname} fields for two reasons.
- It ensures those fields are always entered
- It ensures that the {entityid} is always the one automatically populated by NS when the record is created
Is there a way to hide the {entityid} field (labeled CONTACT) on the entry form or prevent it from being edited? When modifying the form, the Show box for Name/ID can't be unchecked, and changing the Display Type to Disabled or Inline Text doesn't change the behavior when a contact is being created. Is what I'm trying to do not possible, or am I missing a step?
