New Field Editing Restrictions in SuiteScript

This notice is intended for customers with the Advanced Revenue Management (Essentials) feature enabled in your NetSuite account, and one of your scripts edits a newly restricted field.

What is Changing?

The following fields will be restricted from editing in SuiteScript, aligning with the existing UI restrictions, and are targeted to take effect on June 1, 2025: Revenue arrangement fields:

  • Create Revenue Plans On
  • Deferral Account
  • Recognition Account
  • Foreign Currency Adjustment Account

All these fields appear in the Revenue Elements subtab. Revenue recognition plan fields:

  • Amount (in the Primary Information section)
  • Recognition Account (in the Planned Revenue subtab)
