This notice applies to customer account using the ANG ISO code in NetSuite currency records.
What Has Changed
Starting March 31, 2025, ISO 4217 will assign ISO code XCG as the official ISO code for the Caribbean guilder, replacing ANG (Netherlands Antillean guilder). To support this ISO code change, the next NetSuite e-fix will add the XCG ISO code to the list of NetSuite-supported ISO codes. For information about the e-fix schedule, see NetSuite E-Fix Release Schedule, SuiteAnswers ID 103478. After the next e-fix, the ISO code for the default locales, Curaçao (Dutch), Sint Maarten (Dutch part) (Dutch), and Netherlands Antilles (Deprecated) (Dutch), will default to XCG when creating a new currency record. Currency records will not be automatically updated with the new XCG ISO code. This will not affect any existing transactions in your account.
Recommended Actions
You can update your currency records to the new XCG ISO code. However, if you update the ISO code to XCG before March 31, 2025, and are using Xignite as your exchange rate provider, you will not receive automatic exchange rates until March 31, 2025. Additionally, if you enter XCG as your ISO code before the next e-fix, automatic updates for the currency will be disabled, as the ISO code is not yet valid. After the e-fix is complete, make sure to check the Automatic Update box for the currency. To change the ISO code on a currency record, follow these steps:
- Go to Lists > Accounting > Currencies.
- In the Name column, click the name of the currency record you want to edit.
- In the ISO Code field, enter the new ISO code.
- Click Save.
