New to NetSuite | Client Script: validateField(scriptContext)

After discussing all the types of SuiteScript in the New to NetSuite | SuiteScript Types Overview article, we are now focusing on the different types of Client Script. The validateField gets triggered when a user modifies a field and attempts to leave it.
- Validate Field Lengths: Ensure text fields do not exceed or fall below a certain number of characters.
- Restrict Entries to a Predefined Format: Enforce patterns such as phone numbers, email addresses, or IDs.
- Restrict Values to a Specified Range: Ensure numeric fields (e.g., discount percentage) stay within a valid range.
- Cross-Validate Fields: Compare field values against another field before allowing submission.
