NSC | How to Default a Non-Inventory Item Location Based on Sales Rep

When using a Workflow to automatically add Non-Inventory Items to a Quote, the item location often defaults to the location on the Item Record. This article explains how to modify the Workflow to ensure the Non-Inventory Item’s Location defaults to the Sales Rep's Location instead.

Solution:

1. Edit the Workflow:
   Go to Customization > Workflow > Workflows and edit the relevant Workflow.
2. Add a Set Field Value Action:
   • Action Type: Set Field Value
   • Field: Choose Location (Line)
   • Value: From Field
   • Record (Join Field): Sales Rep
   • Field: Location from the Sales Rep record.
3. Save:
