NSC | How to Add a Custom Field to an Email Template
Imagine you’re sending automated emails to customers and want to include personalized details—like a custom loyalty tier or account manager name. Instead of manually editing each message, you can add custom fields to your email templates in NetSuite. This lets you dynamically pull in field values, ensuring your communications are tailored and professional with minimal effort.
You can display the value of a custom field inside an email body or PDF/HTML template using FreeMarker syntax.
- Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > [Entity/Transaction] Fields.
- Ensure Store Value is checked so the data can be referenced.
