NSC | How to Add Help Text to a Custom Record
Suppose you’ve created a custom record type—like “Project Briefs”—but users are having trouble locating them quickly. Instead of navigating through menus, you can add the custom record type to the global search in NetSuite. This lets users pull up records instantly using a simple keyword, improving accessibility and streamlining navigation across the account.
Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types
Edit the custom record type > Check Include in Global Search.
Click Save.
