NSC | How to Get Item Display Image Field's Internal ID via Workflow
Scenario:
A user is experiencing an issue with a workflow formula. The goal is to extract the internal ID of an image in the "Item Display Image" field and save it to a custom field. However, the formula {storedisplayimage} returns the image filename instead of the desired ID.
Solution:
Workflow
- Create a workflow by navigating to Customization > Workflow > Workflows > New.
- Input the following values:
- Basic Information
- Record type: Item
- Subtypes: as needed
- Name
- Execute as Admin: true
- Release Status: Released
- Initiation
- Event Based: true
- Event Definition
- On Create: true
- On View or Update: true
- Basic Information
Workflow Action
- On your newly created workflow, double click
