New to NetSuite | Lists Permission > Address List in Search Permission
As part of our ongoing New to NetSuite series, we’ve previously explored the New to NetSuite | Permissions and delved into the New to NetSuite | Permissions > List. In this article, we’ll focus on one specific and powerful permission within this category: Address List in Search
The Address List in Search permission controls whether you can view all address records in a search. Without this permission, you're limited to accessing only your own address entries.
This permission is especially useful for businesses operating in multiple regions or working with a wide range of customers and vendors. It allows teams to access and use address-related information to make smarter decisions and take more targeted actions. Administrators can assign this permission to roles that need geographic data for reporting, analysis, or managing relationships—helping ensure that NetSuite’s search and reporting tools are aligned with the company’s day-to-day needs.
