NSC | Custom Field Types: Document
In NetSuite, Custom Fields allow users to tailor records and forms to fit specific business needs. These fields can be added to standard or custom records and can be configured in various data types depending on the nature of the data to be stored or captured.
In this article, we'll tackle on the Document field type.
Description:
The Document custom field type in NetSuite allows users to attach files from the File Cabinet directly to records. This is useful for associating reference materials, signed agreements, certifications, PDFs, manuals, or any uploaded document with transactions, entities, or custom records.
Note: The user of the document custom field must have File Cabinet access to view, select, or upload documents.
