Electronic invoice- no "Generate E-document" button on invoice

Hi,
I tried the outbound process- I create E-document package and Template and selected on the Customer record the E-document package. When I created invoice for this Customer and select on the invoice "E-document Template" and "Sending Method", I was not able to see the "Generate E-Document" button.
This button does appear on other transactions-for example on payments/ credit memo.
Of course I set the E-document Template for Invoice transaction.
