HSBC Discontinues Support for Certain MYR Currency Pairs

This notice is intended for customers who have the Currency Exchange Rate Integration feature enabled in your NetSuite account, and you have configured your account to receive exchange rates from HSBC, one of our exchange rate providers.

What Has Changed

As of July 1, 2025, HSBC has stopped providing exchange rates for the following:

  • US Dollar (USD) to Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
  • Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) to US Dollar (USD)
  • Any MYR currency exchange rates obtained through triangulation using USD as the anchor currency in NetSuite

Recommended ActionsWe recommend that you review exchange rate-related processes in your account. Specifically, you should review processes involving USD/MYR, MYR/USD exchange rates, and any exchange rates that use USD as an anchor currency to triangulate MYR. You may want to consider available alternatives, such as:
