Cust Entity field is available as filter but Show in Filter Region check box is grayed out

Question

Hi

A Custom Entity field "Company Tag" with Type as Multiple Select, is available to select as filter, in the Entity Saved Search, but Show in Filter Region check box is grayed out, so NOT able to filter the results on the basis of value in the "Company Tag" custom field.

I have tried the solution to check True for Show in List field and try but issue still persist.

The Show In Filter Region checkbox allows to display choices of field values in the filter region of search results so that search viewers can dynamically filter results.

Currently, this is a system limitation which does not allow to use custom fields of type Multiple Select as an available filter by marking the checkbox Show In Filter Region for saved search results.

There is Enhancement 164787 opened for this feature.

Hi @Jagdish_Chamat,

This is a common issue in NetSuite. Right now, custom fields that are "Multiple Select" can’t be used as filters in the filter region on saved searches, that’s why the “Show in Filter Region” box is grayed out.

NetSuite knows about this and has an enhancement request open (Enhancement 164787), so they may add this in the future. If filtering by this field is important to you, I recommend letting NetSuite Support know, so your feedback is added to the request.

As a workaround, some people use different field types, like single select or checkboxes, if that fits their needs.
