Restrict File Cabinet Access While Allowing File Attachments and Viewing on Transactions and Records
Currently, in NetSuite, any user with the Documents and Files permission can access the File Cabinet directly. Our requirement is different:
Users should be able to attach files to Transactions, Custom Records, and Standard Records.
However, they should not be able to access or browse the File Cabinet directly.
In other words, file access should be limited only through the record/transaction they are attached to, not through the File Cabinet.
We would like to know:
Is there a native way in NetSuite to achieve this setup?
If not, is there a recommended best practice, workaround, or customization to meet this requirement?
