Workaround to Amortizing Bill in Closed Period

My client previously amortizes bills by creating manual journal entries every month. Now these bills that had to be amortized are under a closed period and cannot be edited so I can't tag it to an Amortization Template.

Is there a workaround other than continuously posting manual journal entries per month?
