Why the Invoice Approval Status not updating via Workflow?

Hi All,

We have setup an invoice approval workflow, when user clicked the Approve button and entered the approved state. The approval status remained as Pending Approval despite the workflow history showing field set to Approved successfully.

Is there any conditions that causing this to happen?
