Possible to open AP and AR though have GL locked?

Hi There

I have a use case where accounts payable and accounts receivable finish processing before the rest of the finance team.

Accordindly, I want to unlock the AP module and the AR module for the current month though keep the GL locked until the month end process is completed.

Is that possible?

Or does the GL need to be unlocked for AP and AR to be unlocked?
