Cannot Get basic REST API call from Postman to succeed.

edited Dec 19, 2025 6:52PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

I have been wrestling with this for a while. ChatGPT has politely asked me to stop bothering it. I have also gone through the Oracle documentation on calling the NetSuite REST API from Postman using TBA. I believe everything is configured correctly, but I am unable to make a simple GET call to return Accounts.

I am getting a 400 error which says "Your current role does not have permission to perform this action." This is also the case for other entities (department, customer, etc.)

I have created a Postman TBA integration record and generated a Client ID and Secret. I've also created a Postman Integration role and assigned (REST Web Services, Log in using Access Tokens, Accounts, Accounting Lists, Accounting Managment, and Find Transactions to the role. These have all been set to Full access.
