Sorting transaction sublists (specifically line items

Hi community. No doubt this has been asked before, but I'm curious is there a way to possibly be able to sort sublists, specifically line items, on POs, SO's, or any other transaction record by clicking the Header name? We are specifically looking to do so by Line# (a custom transaction line field), Item Name or Location.

I would imagine there's a way to do it via scripting, but I wondered if anyone has encountered this already. I don't think it would need to be a permanent sort that persists across sessions, but just for users to quickly organize the sublist when working on the record. Thank you!
