If you are an administrator in NetSuite, you might need to merge duplicate or similar accounts to keep your chart of accounts clean and accurate. Here are some helpful tips and important reminders when merging accounts:
What You Need to Know Before Merging Accounts
You can merge two accounts together in NetSuite, but there are a few key rules to follow. First, the accounts you want to merge must be of the same account type (for example, both are asset accounts). Also, the account you want to merge must not have any subaccounts connected to it. You can merge an account with a parent account or with a subaccount. For example, if a store owner has both a petty cash account and a cash-on-hand account, and wants to keep everything in one place, the petty cash account (if it does not have subaccounts) can
