Understanding how to use TRUNC effectively can enhance data analysis and reporting accuracy.
TRUNC Function for Numbers:
- Definition: The TRUNC(NUMBER) function truncates a number to a specified number of decimal places by removing digits beyond the specified precision without rounding.
- Syntax: TRUNC(number, [num_digits])
- Result: It returns the number with the specified number of decimal places, removing any digits beyond that point without rounding.
