Greetings,

We are operating in a NetSuite environment using the Average Costing method, and all our items are lot-numbered assemblies. I’m trying to find out whether it’s possible to configure a picking strategy in NetSuite that follows FIFO logic, automatically suggesting the oldest available lot numbers first during the picking process.

Has anyone successfully implemented such a setup or identified a recommended approach within NetSuite to achieve FIFO-based lot picking?

The ability to configure a FIFO-based picking strategy is not yet available in the standard NetSuite account. This is currently an enhancement request logged on Enhancement # 78430: Item Fulfillment > Inventory Detail > To automatically assign/pick the oldest inventory number
