Standardizing Visibility and Access Rules Across Transactions
This notice is to inform you of NetSuite account processes transactions that may be impacted by the updated visibility and access rules for restricted users. These transactions, among others, include General Ledger (GL) Adjustment, System Journal, Cross Charge, and Netting Settlement.
What is Changing?
Effective with the NetSuite 2026.1 release, we are standardizing record and line-level visibility and access rules across all transactions for restricted users to include General Ledger (GL) Adjustment, System Journal, Cross Charge, and Netting Settlement transaction types.
- If a user has line-level restrictions that combine Own and Subordinates and any line on the transaction is restricted, the entire transaction will not be visible to that user. This includes unassigned lines.
