2FA Error while setting it up

Hi guys!

We have reset the 2FA for a user in the system who is using a role that the 2FA is not required. Once we follow again the setup steps and typing the 6 digits code in the Authericator app, we get an error message that "The password is incorrect". We cannot idenify what the issue here. Its something with the user's email?
