Limitation in Budget View: Multi-Year Comparison Impossible

Question

Hello, I’m facing an issue that I can’t resolve. When I select a period, I want to see the budget for that specific timeframe, but the figures are currently being assigned to the selected budget category instead.

Ultimately, I cannot compare budgets (last year vs. previous years vs. current year) because I am forced to select a single budget category that is linked to a specific year.

I appreciate your help.

The capability to compare multiple budget categories within the standard Budget reports is currently logged as Enhancement #143339. Since your budget categories are tied to specific accounting periods and your requirement involves comparing categories across different periods, it may be necessary to leverage Workbooks to achieve the desired comparison.
