Update to Storage of Assembly Components for Advanced Bill of Materials
This notice applies to customers who use Advanced Bill of Materials feature in NetSuite.
This notice is to inform you of an important upcoming change to the storage of component details on hidden transaction lines for assembly items that use the Advanced Bill of Materials feature.
What Is Changing?
Effective with the NetSuite 2026.1 major release, assembly components will no longer be stored on hidden transaction lines. The change will impact the following transaction types:
- Cash Refund
- Cash Sale
- Sales-Type Custom Transaction
- Credit Memo
- Invoice
- Deprecated Custom Transaction
- Estimate
- Opportunity
- Revenue Commitment Reversal
- Revenue Commitment
- Authorization
- Sales Order
Recommended Actions
If you have customizations that depend on this functionality, update your processes to source component details from Bill of Materials Revision records or associated Work Orders.
