In this article, we will discuss how to create clickable email links in NetSuite Saved Searches using the mailto: hyperlinks.
This technique allows users to launch their default email application directly from a Saved Search result, making it easier to contact customers, vendors, employees, or leads without copying email addresses manually.
Solution: Using Formula (HTML) Field
Using a Formula (HTML) field, you can turn email addresses into clickable links that:
- Open Outlook or another email client
- Prepopulate recipient email addresses
- Optionally include subject lines and email body text
This is especially useful for:
- Customer follow-up searches
- Collections and AR workflows
