NSC | Add Line Numbering to Transaction Lines
Use Case: Client wants to add line numbering on transaction lines to make it easier to reference and identify specific rows for updating, deleting, or editing, especially when transactions contain a large number of lines.
You can create a custom transaction column field to display the line number automatically.
How It Works:
- Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Line Fields > New.
2. Enter a Label such as Line ID.
3. Set the Type to Integer Number.
4. Uncheck Store Value.
5. On the Applies To Tab, check Sale and/or Purchase depending on the transaction types needed.
6. On the Validation & Defaulting Tab > Default Value
