New to NetSuite | Understanding the Difference Between SuiteBuilder and SuiteCloud
When learning NetSuite customization, two terms you may often see are SuiteBuilder and SuiteCloud. They are related, but they are not the same.
Both help extend NetSuite, but they are used for different types of work.
What Is SuiteBuilder?
SuiteBuilder is mainly used for configuration and customization inside NetSuite.
It allows administrators to adjust NetSuite without writing code.
Common SuiteBuilder tasks include:
- creating custom fields
- creating custom records
- customizing forms
- creating custom lists
- setting field defaults
- using field sourcing and filtering
- changing page layouts
SuiteBuilder is often the first place to start when the requirement can be handled through standard customization tools.
