NetSuite Admin Tip | Users Need a Guided Internal Page: When to Use a Suitelet
Sometimes users need a guided internal page in NetSuite that does not fit well into a standard record form. In these cases, a Suitelet may be a good option.
A Suitelet can be used to create a custom NetSuite page where users can enter information, review results, or complete a controlled process.
Scenario
A business team needs an internal page to guide users through a specific task.
Examples may include:
- selecting filters before processing records
- entering request details in a controlled form
- reviewing calculated results before submitting
- launching a custom approval or review process
- showing a guided page for a process that does not belong on one standard record
