Before these transactions can be properly paired, the invoice and vendor bill forms must first be configured to display the Paired Intercompany Transaction field.
In this article, we will walk through how to customize invoice forms in NetSuite to prepare them for intercompany transaction pairing. This setup helps users accurately match related intercompany transactions between subsidiaries and supports more efficient intercompany accounting processes.
To customize the invoice form:
1. Go to the Invoice creation page.
- NetSuite: Navigate to Transactions > Sales > Create Invoices
- NetSuite Next: Click Explore (hamburger icon in the bottom left corner beside the home button). In the menu, go to Transactions > Sales > Invoices, then click Create Invoice.

2. Customize the form.
- NetSuite: Hover your mouse to Customize and then click Customize Form.
- NetSuite Next: Click the ellipsis, Customize > Customize Form

3. On the Screen Fields subtab, check the Paired Intercompany Transaction box
4. Click Save.
