NSC | Why a Workflow Action does not update a field
Scenario
A workflow action is configured to update a field, but the field value does not change when the workflow runs.
Common symptoms include:
- The workflow triggers successfully, but the field remains unchanged.
- The action works on some records but not others.
- No workflow errors appear, yet the field update never happens.
- The field updates during testing but fails in production.
This is a common issue in SuiteFlow environments where field permissions, workflow timing, or transaction status affect update behavior.
