NSC | Why a Workflow is not triggering on Record Edit
Scenario
A workflow is expected to run when a record is edited, but nothing happens after the update is saved.
Common symptoms include:
- The workflow triggers on record creation but not on edits.
- Workflow states never transition after updates.
- Workflow actions, emails, or field updates do not execute during edits.
- The workflow works for some users or records but not others.
This is a common SuiteFlow issue caused by trigger configuration, workflow conditions, execution context, or record state restrictions.
